Caspar’s Passion towards Being the Best German Romantic Landscape Painter

 

Caspar David Friedrich, a romantic German landscape painter, mesmerized the art loved in the 19th century. This color-fit magician was born on 5th September 1774 and earned immense popularity throughout his lifetime. The art lovers were awe-struck to witness the appealing allegorical landscape paintings. They were the mid-period art proposed by Caspar Friedrich. He dedicated his talent towards brushing down the beauty of nature on a blank paper. All of his works were replicating emotional appeal towards mother nature. His work gave him recognition pretty much early in his career. Caspar brought a revolution in the era of art. His artistic works were praised all across Germany in the first half of the 19th century. But by the time the world was stepping into the second half of the running century, Germany paced into the era of modernization. And a new ambiance of art was proposed around the country. Hence the contemplative depictions of Caspar’s still paintings were considered to be the art of past-age. Nature demanded him to drop down his paintbrushes and bid farewell to this world on 7th May 1840. He died after living his artistic passion for 66 years.

His work got its recognition once again after many years of his death. In 1906, 32 of Caspar’s paintings were exhibited in Berlin.
